Sunday Notes: February 2nd, 2025: “Fearless” Love’s Perfecting Language

“Fearless”

Love’s Perfecting Language

Text: 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

NLT 18 Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.

Introduction: We all have thoughts that flow through our minds. As believers, we are called to renew our minds and act on God’s Word. Without acting on God’s Word, any thoughts are free to create perceptions thus becoming our reality. For example, one that constantly repeats the same behavior patterns or only knows of their past with all the feelings that come with it.

Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:

AMP “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he in behavior”

Our mind must become a fortress of God’s Word regarding His Love for us, to us and through us

to win the battle against FEAR.

Your thoughts will either bind you or liberate you.

How you think will determine if you see yourself, your future, family and fellowship with others through

lack, want, discouragement, uncertainty, worry, prejudice and fear or God’s Love with acceptance,

forgiveness, favor, faith, protection, provision and a bold Christ confident conscience.

How much bondage were you in before Jesus?

Ephesians 2:1 NLT Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. 2 You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. 3 All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. 4 But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) 6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

We must differentiate what we have received and the thoughts that come with either the spirit of bondage

or the Spirit of adoption.

False Evidence Appearing Real

James 1:23 NLT For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. 25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.

If your self-perception, general disposition and approach to life is affected with worry, doubt, uncertainty and confusion be bold and pay the price to acquire truth that will set you free!

John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Fight FEAR with TRUTH

Know and believe God’s Love

1 John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Cast down every thought contrary to God’s Love!

2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Speak fearlessly I AM LOVED and I LOVE OTHERS AS I LOVE MYSELF -Matthew 22:37-39

Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things?

If (Since) God be for us, who can be against us?

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect?

It is God that justifieth (declared us righteous).

34 Who is he that condemneth?

It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?

shall tribulation,

or distress,

or persecution,

or famine,

or nakedness,

or peril,

or sword?

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that

neither death,

nor life,

nor angels,

nor principalities,

nor powers,

nor things present,

nor things to come,

39 Nor height,

nor depth,

nor any other creature,

shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Worship God with your First-Fruits, tithes, offerings, and alms.

Luke 10:29-37 Lawyer, Priest and Levite

33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion

on him, 34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast,

and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two

pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more,

when I come again, I will repay thee. 36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that

fell among the thieves? 37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do

thou likewise.
